SELECTIVE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS’ BIOGRAPHIES



Natarajan Ishwaran
Director at UNESCO
A native of Sri Lanka, Natarajan Ishwaran majored in Zoology earning a master’s degree in Animal Ecology from the University of Peradeniya and a Ph.D. in Wildlife Biology and Wildlife Management from Michigan State University. Dr. Ishwaran has been employed by UNESCO since 1986. He has worked with the Man and the Biosphere Program, Biosphere Reserves, the World Heritage Convention and many projects involving ecological and environmental sciences. The environmental activist has served as editor of two books on management of natural reserves and protected areas. His dedication to preserving all forms of life on this planet and that requires the preservation of water.








Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
President of the Waterkeeper Alliance
Chief Prosecuting Attorney for Riverkeeper
This Harvard Graduate has since gone on to perform many beneficial acts regarding the environment. Mr. Kennedy is a Clinical Professor and Supervising Attorney at Pace University School of Law’s Environment Litigation. As well as being an accomplished author, The President of the Waterkeeper Alliance co-hosts Ring of Fire; a popular radio talk show. Due to his tremendous efforts in helping to restore the Hudson river on the Board at Riverkeeper, Bobby Jr. was named one of Time magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet.” Present day, his efforts are motivated towards aiding the city of New York.
